Old PST backup from my office PC how do I convert contacts for home use?

ReplyThanks 2025/12/11 14:17:50 0 0

Hey Guys,

I recently left my old job and brought my PST backup file with me. Now I want to import those contacts into my personal Gmail account, but Gmail doesn’t accept PST files. I’m worried about losing my work contacts because some have detailed information like multiple phone numbers and company fields. What’s the safest way to convert a PST file full of contacts into a VCF format without damaging the data?

Hey,

This type of instance usually happens when someone tries to export contacts from the workplace Outlook account. PST files are only for Outlook, and most of the non-Outlook platforms wouldn't be able to read them. A dedicated PST to VCF converter fixes this issue since the VCF format is the most compatible one for Gmail, Android, iPhone, and even CRM systems.

How I moved my office PST contacts without losing any:

I uploaded my PST file to a converter tool.

I checked all the contacts, even those with long notes and multiple numbers.

I chose Convert PST to vCard for the correct VCF output.

I imported the VCF file into Google Contacts.

I synced my phone to do everything automatically.

WholeClear PST to VCF Converter is the one I have used, and it kept the format of all the corporate contact details. In case you are worried about losing the business contacts that are important to you, then the use of a professional PST to vCard converter is the safest way.
